Founding Member and First President, We Will Stop Femicide Platform Association, Türkiye (2009–2015) Link to heading

Nationally recognized feminist organization advocating against femicide and gender-based violence.

  • Co-founded the organization and contributed to its development from an emerging activist initiative into a nationally recognized feminist platform; held sustained organizational leadership responsibilities, including service as its first president.
  • Led campaign strategy, organizational communication, media relations, public events, and movement coordination; participated in femicide-case monitoring, legal advocacy, parliamentary outreach, public demonstrations, and gender-equality education.
  • Compiled an original dataset of approximately 2,000 femicide cases by reviewing Turkish news reports from 2007 to 2012 and presented findings in a national bioethics conference context.
  • Represented the organization in national television and news media and communicated research-based analysis of femicide and violence against women to public audiences.
